Tips on How To Meet The ClickBank CDR – Customer Distribution Requirements

Like many others out there, last year i joined the ClickBank Affiliate Program and started to promote ClickBank Products.
In a short period i made 9 sales, for an amount of commission of $167.48.

At first i was very excited but then, looking at my PayChecks report, i noticed the column Status and the link called CDR.

CDR stands for Customer Distribution Requirement. The Clickbank Customer Distribution Requirement is the ClickBank anti-fraud policy, to avoid a fraudolent use of the ClickBank account for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others.

To Meet the ClickBank CDR and thus being eligibile to receive your first Clickbank check, the follwing conditions have to be met:

 - Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and
 - Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal).

Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.

This was very frustrating: not only you have to meet a payment threshold before you get paid, but you also have to do several sales, but sales have to be made from FIVE different credit card number. Considering that the best part of my sales come from PayPal, it is not that easy to meet the CDR. This was very discouraging, and is one of the main reasons why  many affiliates fail at ClickBank affiliate marketing.

But there is more: according to ClickBank “Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant“.  Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity, $5 per pay period after 180 days of inactivity, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of inactivity”.

Of Course, if you do a lot of sales on ClickBank, this is not a problem to you, but what if i made other, let’s say 10 sales and all customers pay with PayPal ? I will not able to meet the ClickBank CDR, so getting sales does not mean you will get paid.
